As part of the recent Ministerial announcement to extend the Hwb+ project until August 2018, a Hwb+ Centres of Excellence Programme is being commissioned which aims to accelerate the adoption of the Hwb+ learning platform across schools in Wales.
Schools are invited to apply to become one of 18 Hwb+ Centres of Excellence which will be supported by funding of up to £30,000 per project proposal. The main focus of these centres will be to provide other school, local authority and regional education consortia staff with the opportunity to see how the adoption of the Hwb+ learning platform and the wide range of digital tools offered through the wider Learning in Digital Wales Programme has made a positive difference to teaching and learning within a school setting.
Schools will be required to produce an outcomes report at the end of the project and best practice examples will be used as case studies. These case studies will be published online to assist future development of supported digital learning.
